Though fashion is ever changing, you can see how current designers and stylists implement styles from different eras into their work. Fashion is a powerful force. It constantly evolves and like other forms of art, it brings people together.

This is what influenced me to be a stylist.

My journey began in my hometown, Chicago. After graduating college in 2015 I worked several retail jobs, while gaining clientele as a personal stylist and shopper.

​

In 2019 I became a full-time stylist at one of Chicago's best agencies, Distinct Artists. Here I assisted and led various photoshoots.

 

The spread of covid-19 in 2020 put a lot of plans and companies at a halt. Through all of this I decided to dip my toes into the business pond and created my own online fashion brand, WEST SHAI, which launched in January 2022. (IG: @west.shai)

 

What I love most about being a stylist is being able to flex my creativity by sharing it with the world.
